Zero-Waste Partnerships: How Aangen and Saponetti Eliminated Plastic from Cleaning Operations

Aangen has spent over 25 years supporting communities through social enterprises rooted in care, equity, and sustainability. When they approached us with a bold goal to eliminate plastic waste entirely from their cleaning operations, we were all in.

The Challenge: Reducing Plastic Without Sacrificing Clean

Despite their longstanding commitment to environmental and community well-being, Aangen was faced with a growing challenge: how to remove plastic waste from their cleaning processes without compromising effectiveness or ease of use.

Traditional cleaning products, often packed in single-use plastic, were misaligned with Aangen’s mission. They needed a solution that was clean, convenient, and truly sustainable. This partnership stands as a model for future zero waste partnerships between social enterprises and refill-based suppliers.

The Solution: A Refillable, Zero-Waste System

Saponetti worked hand-in-hand with Aangen to develop a zero-waste supply system using our 4L refundable HDPE jug model, durable, refillable containers that reduce waste and deliver high-quality, biodegradable cleaning products.

Together, we transitioned their operations to a line of natural, effective cleaners, including:
